IMPROV FOR THE 21st CENTURY
“TILTED FRAME stretches the boundaries of traditional improvisation…
They drop the facile and forced wackiness of comedy club improv for a far more daring and difficult form."
- SF Guardian
Combined Artform– (formerly – C.A.F.E. (Combined Art Form Entertainment)) is back in San Francisco with their unique improvised theater show, TILTED FRAME combining comedic improv scenes with technology such as video cameras, projectors, and Internet connections. The result is techno- improv, fast-moving, in an audience-pleasing style.
Created during the .dot com era of San Francisco by Combined Artform in 2002, TILTED FRAME examines the world of technology and entertainment. Bringing some of the original members, mixed with new ones to create a newly developed improv show for you, with some of our signature pieces like Craigslist and new formats like Twitter. Each show is digital and original.
Having expanded into Los Angeles at Theatre Asylum in 2007, Combined Artform’s Artistic Director Matthew Quinn is excited about having TILTED FRAME's in both cities and looks forward to developing the shows to allow both groups the ability to perform together through the Internet sometime this summer.
In addition, certain shows will feature guest groups from the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Come and see two different shows then stay for the Jam following. An excellent evening of Improv comedy.
Featuring: Daniel Berson, Diana Brown, Christopher DeJong, Sara Eismann, Cheryl Fidelman, Wylie Herman, Mariah Howard and Denzil Meyers
Executive Producer: Matthew Quinn
Directors: Matthew Quinn
Consultant: Patrick Bristow
